Contenuti | Introduzione ai principi di Chimica Generale ed Inorganica per la comprensione delle leggi fondamentali della materia, della sua struttura e delle sue trasformazioni. Comprensione, interpretazione ed applicazione delle leggi che governano l’equilibrio chimico, ed in particolare le reazioni acido-base. Studio della struttura e delle funzioni delle molecole di interesse biologico (glucidi, lipidi e proteine) e dei principali processi metabolici nell'organismo umano. |

Obiettivi formativi | Obiettivo formativo fondamentale del corso è fornire allo studente, partendo da concetti fondamentali di Chimica inorganica ed organica di base, strumenti per un'adeguata comprensione della struttura e funzione delle molecole di interesse biologico e del loro coinvolgimento nei principali eventi metabolici. |
Prerequisiti | Il Corso è inserito in un modulo di base (I semestre I anno) e pertanto non è richiesta propedeuticità. I prerequisiti consistono nelle conoscenze di Matematica, Fisica e Chimica necessarie per superare la prova di accesso al Corso. |
Metodologie didattiche | Lezioni frontali con proiezione di presentazioni in power point |
Metodi di valutazione | La valutazione comprende una prova scritta seguita da un colloquio orale. |

Contents | Introduction to the principles of General and Inorganic Chemistry for understanding the fundamental laws of matter, its structure and its transformations. Understanding, interpretation and application of the laws that govern the chemical equilibrium, and in particular the acid-base reactions. Study of the structure and functions of molecules of biological interest (glucides, lipids and proteins) and of the main metabolic processes in the human body. |

Course objectives | Fundamental training objective of the Course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge of Inorganic and Organic Chemistry essential for the comprehension and the knowledge of the structure, function and transformations of the biomolecules of biological interest and their involvement in the main metabolic events. |
Prerequisites | The Course Is in the framework of a basic module (I semester, I year, therefore the prerequisites simply consist of the knowledge of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry necessary to pass the entrance test to the Course. |
Teaching methods | Frontal lessons with projection of Power Point files. |
Evaluation methods | The evaluation of student proficiency is based on both written and oral test (viva voce). |
